JobAdvisor provides the inside story on what it’s like to work for Australia’s Employers, without the hype and marketing spiel. Based upon anonymous feedback from the people who matter most – employees – we tell it how it really is so that you can make an informed decision about your next employer.

How we got here

Today’s job searching process is based on how things used to work. You remember, employers used to post an advert in the paper and wait for people to apply. Job seekers who were looking for work would search the classifieds for something that matches what they do, usually with very little idea about what the company does or what it’s like to work there. Enter the Internet and the emergence of job boards which replicated this process, but the Internet has so much more to offer than an online version of the classifieds.

We believe in the power of social media, the power of the people. In today’s world, we have access to information like never before, largely because we’re sharing it online. Our vision for JobAdvisor is to be a platform for Australians to share information about one of the most important aspects of their life, their job. We’d love to be a catalyst for employers that don’t look after their employees to lift their game, but our intention isn’t to create a forum to air grievances. Instead, we want to put the power in the hands of the people to help each other find great employers or, at the very least, to have an open and honest insight into what it’s like to work for Australia’s employers.
